Cathedral Banner

On Monday the 10th of March, the pupils, parents, staff and Governors of fourteen local primary schools were invited to attend a prestigious event in the Cathedral. To mark the 900th year of the Cathedral, a project centred around art, creativity and spirituality was undertaken by our school.

Mrs Walshaw led the project across Y3 and linked in our Spring Term’s RE theme: prayer. The children's work was reflected in a huge bold and brightly coloured banner which was later displayed in the Cathedral. It looked truly magnificent in situ and we were so proud of our pupils’ hard work and creativity.

We would like to thank all the parents and the wider school community who came to support the event and we are very proud to say that the event coordinators later contacted us to commend the attitude of the pupils.
