Exwick Heights Primary School warmly invites you to come and have a look around our Pre-School. Please contact us here to arrange a visit, which would include a tour of the school and an opportunity to meet our amazing staff and children. 

Applying for a place in Pre-School 

To apply for a Pre-School place from September 2025, please complete our online application form. Upon receipt of the application form, a member of our administration team will contact you to discuss the next steps in your application process. 

Funding

All 3 to 4 year olds in England can get 570 funded hours per year from the term after your child turns 3 years old through to starting school. This is usually taken as 15 hours a week for 38 weeks of the year.

Extra costs include: lunch and additional hours and activities.

You can combine your universal entitlement with the working parent entitlement to receive an additional 15 hours of paid for childcare each week (increasing your allowance to 30 free hours per week over 38 weeks of the year). To apply for this extra working parents funding you must do so via your Government Gateway account using this link. We will then need to know your funding code and National Insurance number if you are entitled to this additional funding.

Our Pre-School day

9.00am - 12.00pm: Morning session (excludes lunch)

12.00pm - 3.00pm: Afternoon session (includes lunch hour) 

9.00am - 3.00pm: Morning and Afternoon session combined (includes lunch hour)
